All your settings in one place
Choose where each file type goes, which files to skip or delete, and which folders to use on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Automatically sort your downloads
Turn a crowded downloads folder into an orderly one. Choose where files should go, connect your computers, and let CleanDL put each download in the right folder.
^invoice-first ruleBuilt to keep things simple
Set up your rules once and use them on every connected computer. CleanDL follows the same rules everywhere and changes them only when you do.
Choose where each file type goes, which files to skip or delete, and which folders to use on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Sort files by name when the file type is not enough. Put your rules in order, then choose a default folder for everything else.
Start in preview mode, check where each file would go, and turn on file moves when everything looks right.
How it works
The CleanDL website stores your settings. A small CleanDL app uses them on each computer where you download files.
Decide where each file type should go, add rules for special filenames, and choose which files to skip.
Create a secure key for each computer and use it to connect the CleanDL app to your account.
Preview where files will go, fix anything unexpected, and allow CleanDL to move them when you are ready.
The CleanDL app
Install the CleanDL app on a laptop, storage device, or always-on computer. It gets your rules, checks the downloads folder, and moves matching files while keeping their original dates.
The app is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux from version 0.2.0. Each download includes a code you can use to check the file. Your computer may show a security warning because the first releases are not digitally signed.
